St. Luke’s is a traditional Anglo-Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Washington, that is to say we uphold the ancient traditions, creeds, teachings and understanding of Scripture as they have been received over the past 2,000 years. We also uphold the belief in an all male priesthood. Most importantly, we firmly believe in the uniqueness of Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior of all, that there is no other name given under heaven for health and salvation, and that no one can come to the Father but by Him.

With this faith, Anglican Christians from at least 11 different nations make St. Luke’s their spiritual home. We believe in the transforming power of the Sacraments to change lives; we seek to be transformed into the image and likeness of Jesus, and we seek to order our lives in accordance with Scripture. The cultural diversity of St. Luke’s together with its willingness to conform to “the faith once delivered to the saints” makes life and worship at St. Luke’s a very special place.
